FBM
Hudson takes special care in investing
in qualified research and development
activities. It consolidates and widens
its technical knowledge to guarantee quality,
safety and cost control in the construction
of its products range. It pioneers new
fields of applications for such products
and researches and develops special equipment
and innovative systems.
Great importance is given to special welding
techniques, to stress analysis for design
and optimisation of wall profiles and
the development of techniques for advanced
calculations.
As a result of destructive tests of prototype
FBM HUDSON Italiana has improved its efficient
manufacturing processes of multilayer
equipment operating at very high pressures
and has set up proper calculation codes
for which official approval has been requested
and granted.
Thermodynamic studies and structural analysis
are very important for the systems and
equipment of the heat recovery plants
used for petrochemical processes (process
waste heat boilers) and for energy plant
thermal cycles (re-powering and cogeneration).
Other research activities have been focussed
on the optimisation of the thermal design
data for air coolers and air cooled steam
condenser, mechanical solutions for critical
services and vibration free operations
( finite element and modal analysis),
low noise and high performance fans.
In-house software for specific and advanced
calculations is developed by MS Visual
Basic and Intel Visual Fortran. |
